Forth Source Code Analysis Tool Set
|
 |
|
SOURCE CODE AVAILABLE
|
|
The Forth Source Code Analysis Tool Set (FSCATS) provides a wide range of capabilities to aid in documenting, analyzing and reverse engineering computer programs written in the Forth programming language. The tool set also serves as an aid in software management, cost estimation and code metrics.
Capabilities provided by the tool set include:
- counting the lines of code (categorized by code, comments, etc.)
- producing cross references for all words, constants and variables
- producing cross references of all definitions
- identifying unused and multiply defined definitions
- identifying unused and undefined Forth words
- listing the call tree at selectable levels of detail
The tool set capabilities are further enhanced by providing all results as tables in the Microsoft Access environment. This availability of results as tables provides the user with an extraordinary flexibility in tailoring the tool set to produce a wide range of sorted and filtered views. Using the built-in Microsoft Access report capabilities, tables of summary information may be readily printed as needed.
FSCATS carries the NASA case number MFS-31255. It was originally released as part of the COSMIC collection.
